Can't Get a Movie Made Without Them

My wife somberly informed me today that my blog will not be able to become a movie like Julie and Julia -- since I'm not buying anything there would be no opportunities for product placement ads.  I'm pretty sure she is right.  It would likely also be challenging to go around filming me not doing something all day for a year...

Hmmmmmmmmm...what about Slumdog Millionaire?
You could be sitting on the next sleeper hit of product "displacement"

And we could coin a new phrase! Cindy, you are my official spokesmodel of 'product displacement'. P.S. how goes the fight?

Not a new phrase...can't take the credit unfortunately. But I'd still pay to see your movie :)

The fight goes well - there's this strange liberating feeling about not being able to "shop". Although I did get new eye glasses today, but that fits into the necessity category I think...

Anything to do with health, preventing deterioration of your parts etc. is fine! And I love how this blog is teaching me new words and phrases all the time. As you can tell, I'm a novice in the world of non-consumerism. I agree about the liberating part, it feels like a relief to have a line drawn. Like it's easier to give up smoking than have one now and then (for me anyways!)
